Dragon Age II PC demo Feb 23, GameStop reps get earlier

Hey RPG fans! If you’re looking for a demo of BioWare’s Dragon Age II, you can pick it up on February 23 for the PC – no word yet on a console demo – or, if you’re a trusted GameStop employee, you can get access to the demo come February 11. Why the favoritism? BioWare wants GameStop employees to “become a key source of knowledge for GameStop customers and BioWare fans,” according to Kotaku, at least. Personally I think it’s just another bid to pony up to the corporations that are currently running this country. Is my tinfoil hat on straight?

California gallery becomes vintage arcade in March

If you'd like to party with Pac-Man in a way that doesn't involve playing Pac-Man Party, head down to Alhambra, California's Nucleus Gallery on March 5. The Southern California Classic Collectors group is setting up 30 old arcade machines, and a dozen or so old consoles, to turn the gallery into a retrogaming paradise.

In addition to the presentation and free play of old games, attendees will be able to hear live chiptunes, take part in commerce in the trading room, play a retrogaming quiz competition and, for some reason, play Rock Band. Also, because it's Southern California, food trucks will converge on the location, stalking their elusive prey of "hungry people." Tickets are $10 now, or $15 at the door.
